I love Amex- did anyone know this?
so my bill is due tomorrow
but tomorrow I am going to be at my Aunts House- with no acess to a computer till at least 9pm when I get home
I called Amex to see if there was a time I HAD to pay by - like most cards it's 5pm
(I can't pay today- I wanting for $$$$ of credits to hit the card or I would have)
they told me - that tomorrow is just the "Please Pay by Date" I actually have till the 18th- with no penatly (30 days from your closing date)
I had no idea- I feel so much better now, I can relax and enjoy tomorrow- and even if my credits don't hit till monday for some odd reason- I can just pay the bill then!
I am so happy now- I was stressing over this!

Yup!
Yeah, AMEX offers a grace period.
They really are the best CC out there IMO.

is this for the charge card or credit card?
i used to have the gold charge card and yes, they give you a grace period with no penalty. i switched to the blue cash credit card and didn't realize that they don't give you a grace period. i paid the minimum amount by the due date and then paid the full balance 2 days later when i got paid. they charged me interest. well, i called and explained the situation and they waived it that one time.
i do LOVE amex though. i got back $800 for my cash back this past year!

I love Amex too! We won a dispute for a charge and they sent us a handwritten note of congrats. That is good customer service.

I have both the Charge and Credit- but this is on my Charge Card
so if you have the credit card- don't not pay them
I win disputes all the time, I really love Amex
I pay alot to have the card and they appericate that and the level on service shows!

yep and I use the grace period all the time.
right now in fact while paying for my vacation.
Card member since 1990..I am the queen of charge card manipulation.
Love amex.
Hey, I do pay a big fee to have the card..they do get something out of it.

yes, this is true
for example, my closing date was August 29th, the bill says it is due by the 23rd but as long as I pay it by the 28th there is no late payment

Amex is the only card I use. Last Christmas I got an Ipod Nano as a 'thank you' gift from them. It was pretty sweet. I love them excessively

I knew this and take advantage of it every month. As long as they receive it before the next billing cycle closes then you are not late.
