I love my job
I just wanted to post that anyone who is currently miserable in their current job should definitely take the plunge and look for a new one!
I was really unhappy at my last job (I worked there for 2 years). I was literally making my self sick over the anxiety and depression it was causing me.
I finally QUIT because I couldn't take it anymore and I hated lying about all of the interviews I was going on. After about a month of searching, I had 3 offers and am SOOOO happy at my new position.
It is amazing how much better I feel about LIFE after making this one change. Anyone who is really unhappy in their current position should see what else is out there - you just never know how happy you could be until you try it!!!!!!!!
Okay, I will get off my soapbox now... Just had to share

I used to work in Public Accounting and now I work at a financial services company. I am also MUCh happier....
Public accounting sucks !!!

OMG good for you i know whats its like to hate a job... I swear i was bordering a nervous breakdown i m not even kidding it is the WORST thing in the world... (i have a totally diff. job not even in the same feild!

i am currently in public accounting and starting hate it and dread going to work. i was in private internal audit before and decided to try out public. now i don't know what i want. i am thinking of changing careers but not so easy in public accounting with the hours.
Glad you are happy now.

it's SO true.... i was in the same situation, and really, there's no reason for it. wel all deserve so much more than that! You can't let comfort and fear hold you back (looks like i'm on the same soapbox as you  ).
