I love the Pet Board of LIF
I really love how this board works. Honestly. I think it is such an amazing resource, and a great community. When you think about it, you can get advice on chosing/finding a pet, vet info, feeding & training info, pet resources, and most recently a TON of information on animal rights. And of course I love looking at the pics of all the fur (and not so fur) babies.
I really hope this board keeps its momentum. It has been so active with good info lately!!!

I agree with you! Seems like a miilion year ago (it's only been 2 and half!) when we got Denver and became dog owners for the first time. I have no idea where I would be without this board - I learned so much through his puppyhood. Because of this board, I learned SO much about puppy mills and puppy rescue, I joined a rescue org and fostered then adopted Bella. She owes her rescue to you MsMBV and the many others who took time to help and educate me. Thanks from Bella

I couldn't agree more. This is a fantastic board with a wealth of information and kind compassionate people.
I found it to be a tremendous resource when my husband and I were looking to adopt a puppy and have no doubt will continue to serve as a great resource as Arnold continues to grow and mature into a dog.

i remember when we fought for this board. ah, happier times.
the main thing that makes me happy and grateful about the pet board is so many more people are more informed now about things like puppymills, backyard breeders, the teacup myth, deisgner dogs, etc etc.
i hope it continues to strive.
i think alot of people (myself included) need to take this board a TAD less seriously. its a board filled with many people who are passionate about certain things and that can lead to drama.. and it usually does. its a board that has a lot of grey area if you catch my drift. i feel like the boardlately has been like one big dysfunctional family. i hope it gets happier again soon.

me too! I think that there is so much at our fingertips here...so much help advice, information, etc..... I'd hate to see that get mudded up by the drama....

I have to say, I have no idea what I would do without everyone on here, hands down!!!!
You all have helped me from day one and continue to everyday.
When I first came on, was a little bumpy  , but since we are all Adults and could discuss things like adults, it worked out for the best.
You guys rock!!!!!!!!!

I just started here not too long ago. I have to say I look so foward to coming to it everytime I am on line. Its the first thing I do. My husband thinks I am crazy. BTW: I was oblivious to the puppy mill situation until I came on here (and saw OPRAH) I feel so sad that I was so ignorant for a long time. I hope you realize that all of your hard work to try to get the word out about puppy mills, dog store ect... Made a difference in my life. Now I will pass this information on and I hope I can make a difference. my DH and I are also involved in fund raising for Bobi and the Strays. She is wonderful in all of her works for homeless and abused animals. I feel ashamed in duing this good work for her and still not knowing about the conditions in puppy mills and where the dogs go from there. I didn't own a pet so I really had no idea. I hope we all can become a family here and stop criticizing every word we say. I will warn you, I have a dry sense of humor and a I am usually being funny (trying to be at least) in alot of my posts. I hope you all really get to know me and see that I try very hard not to offend or criticize and if I do I am usually the first to clear the air and apologize. I LOVE THIS PETS BOARD and I am here to stay.
