I LOVE this book!!!
Last Friday I picked up a copy of Healthy Sleep Habits, Happy Child. I so wish I had read it sooner. DS slept through the night for the 1st time the past 2 nights! And he has been taking "real" naps not just his usual little cat naps here and there! I can't believe what a difference it has made. By getting him to sleep before he gets overtired he has been sleeping soooo much better and longer! And I think he is starting to finally fall into a schedule! Yay!

Re: I LOVE this book!!!
This book was a lifesaver.... It helped me put Nate on a schedule which he is still on at 12 months.
I recommend it to all my friends who recently had babies.

The biggest thing for me was to recognize when he is starting to get drowsy and put him to sleep then before he gets overtired. I didn't know that at 3 months old a baby should only be awake for 1-2 hours before needing to sleep. I was keeping DS up way too long. I've also started to put him to sleep at night at an earlier time. I still have some more reading to do, but so far it has worked wonders! I would definitely recommend buying it!

Re: I LOVE this book!!!
I will have to get a hold of a copy. I can't get my monster to sleep anywhere in the day besides on my chest (he is 5 months) and if he falls asleep on me, and I move the wrong way and he wakes up...thats it! I missed his slot and he doesn't have a nap!
Today I bought some magazines and took him for a walk in the park...that kept him asleep for about 25 minutes...
I am KNACKERED now!

Re: I LOVE this book!!!
I agree. I wish I read it BEFORE by daughter was born. I was so desperate with my crying/sleepless baby by the time I got the book. I now recommend it to my pregnant friends to browse through before their babies are born.

Re: I LOVE this book!!!
no...Hayley can be saved! The book is not only sleep training but how to fix sleep problems.
I try to read a bit every night and maybe I haven't gotten far enough in.....but I am finding it hard to see when Alyson is tired before she starts her annoyed grunt and rubbing her eyes. It took an hr and 20 min of her fighting to go to bed tonight, INCLUDING crying for a bit (i'm sure it wasn't that long, but it seemed so)
