I Made A Fatal Error Yesterday
Robbie had a birthday party. You know the drill.. you get there and immediately 8 kids start yelling "ROBERT!" and surrounding him since he's the newest arrival.
I say hey to the parents, thank them for the invitation and turn to say goodbye to my child...
What came out of my mouth was not "Okay - bye, have fun Robbie!"
What came out of my mouth was "Okay little bear.. can I have a kiss?"
The whole group of boys got silent for a second and Robbie just slid me the look of death. Seriously - if looks could kill I would have been incinerated on the spot.
I made a quick exit.
And yes - he did scold me about it when I picked him up. "KISS? YOU WANTED A KISS???? AND YOU CALLED ME LITTLE BEAR? IN.FRONT.OF.MY.FRIENDS?????????????????????????"
Can I have that bad Mommy crown today?
ETA: I swear I NEVER do that.. I'm the Mom who always remembers to act cool and barely even acknowledge his existence until we have a cushion of at least 200 yards from all potential sitings. I don't know WHAT happened to my head yesterday.. but I still can't get that look out of my head!

Haha I call my oldest Boo and it comes out all the time. He put the kibosh on it last year and then started allowing it again. So were you in the dog house with Little Bear after that?
