I made $$$ today on e-bay!
I became a seller today on ebay and 2 of my items sold already!!!
It is soooo great to get rid of things we don't need and to make $$$ at the same time!
I sold DH's guitar and amp (which he bought 2 years ago b/s he wanted to take lessons (ummmm - 2 years and THREE lessons later and the thing was sitting in our spare bedroom)! I also sold a Tassimo coffee cappuccino maker which I bought, used and didn't like! I hated staring at the thing taking up my counter space!
Anyone considering doing it, definitely should! It is making my holiday spending a little easier to swallow!

congrats, Its a great feeling isn't it. I sell on ebay A LOT but this week I'm taking a break. In the last 2 weeks I've shipped out over 50 packages and I'm tired, but it basically became all my Christmas money which is great!!!!!!

That is fantastic!
I have a question about selling on ebay. How do you determine the shipping costs?

Re: I made $$$ today on e-bay!
I've been looking at similar items and seeing what other people are charging.
From my 1st two sales, I think I probably should've charged more for shipping than I did, but live and learn, right?
I figure, it is $$$ I didn't have anyway, so if I pay a little more for shipping, oh well!
There is also a way to estimate the shipping charge on USPS based on distance, size and weight of your item. I used that also.
Good luck!

I estimate shipping based on what similar sized items cost to ship

I saw your post on the other thread I started!
I started out with my daughters dress and shoes last week and sold those so fast that I posted more stuff and it is all going! I am so excited because in the past week I made about $200 on stuff that was just sitting here. I have two more things on there now that I am anticipating will sell because they have a lot of "watchers".
We have so much in our house we don't use (and good stuff)! Everything I look at I'm like "I'm going to put that on Ebay!" I'm obsessed!

Recently I had 13 & 16 watchers on 2 items & it sold for a low amount. I thought it would sell for alot more because of all the watchers.

Do you buy things specifically to sell on Ebay?
I bought my daughter a beautiful jacket at Marshall's for a good deal (the ticket had to be wrong) but it didn't fit her, so I put it on Ebay to see if it would sell for a little more. If it doesn't sell I will just return it to the store.
Other than that, it has just been things already in the house.

That's a bummer. So far my stuff has sold for more than I thought it would, but I think it is just because of what they were and the time of year it is. I have other things that I will put on, but I don't think they will move as fast.

Re: I made $$$ today on e-bay!
I didn't know you could see the watchers.
I watch items similar to what I'm looking to sell so I can see what the final price paid is. That way I know what to list it for too.
ETA:
By the way, congrats!!
