I may have asked this before - travelling with a 10 mt old...
So, we are leaving this Saturday for Florida.
I pretty much have his suitcase packed, but wanted to bring some thigns to occupy him on the plane...
I was thinking of getting him a Mr. Potato Head and some little animals since he likes those - anything else that you can speak from experience will keep an active little boy occupied?

I can't answer to the "active little boy" part... but I've been told that you should bring something new that he hasn't seen yet, so he can really explore on the flight and be occupied.
Florida is a pretty short trip... try giving the bottle on take off to help equalize the pressure in the ears... good luck!!

whatever your child is into ( i can't remember what 10mths. old do ) i would get travel size and put it in his carry on bag along with snacks and his drink (you can bring drinks through security for your children) I always brought my laptop and baby einstein DVD's just in case.

I always bring my small portable DVD with us - it's a lifesaver for us!

When we went to FL a month ago (DS was 1 year), we brought a paci (even though he hadn't used 1 since 6 months) to help the ears. We also brought crackers, milk, and sippy with water (hint: if it's "baby water" they let you bring it on the plane).
For toys, we brought small stuff with a little noise and a blanket. We timed the plane trip to be during his nap time so that passed a good 45min-1 hour each way. The passenger safety card worked as the "new toy." The TV on Jet Blue also passed a little time.
He's also really active so he enjoyed crawling and trying to walk around and play peek-a-boo with other passengers. Everyone was nice to him, probably because he didn't cry at all.
Good luck! Our trip to FL was the happiest time for DS ever, I hope it is the same for you!
