I miss DD and we have only been away a few hours...we're in PA for a wedding
So I decided to pack my pump and swallow my hurt feelings and I am attending our friend's wedding in PA where DH is the BM.
He is a good friend (was our BM and is the one who introduced DH and me) and I know me being here is important to him. I have also come to understand that his NO KIDS except immediate nieces and nephews rule was really hard for him and sadly they received a lot of no's because of it.
I just feel really sad being here in the hotel in PA without DD. It is Saturday. A day when we should be having fun together. Instead I am here.
I know many moms would jump at the chance to have a weekend away from DC but I just feel like she is going to hate me. And the nursing thing is complicated, too. I want to wean but I worry that she will wean while I am away and forget all about when I come back
I feel so lonely without her smiling face even though I know she and Grandma and Grandpa are probably having a blast.
Fingers crossed she sleeps well for them and doesn't have night terrors.
Thanks for reading.

aww hang in their. It is one thing if you were in a wedding on the island but you had to go to another state
We were invited to a wedding in the city and they don't want any children either so my DH declined.. (his friends) I actually wanted to try to see if I could do it (first time if we did) but maybe it was best.
I hope Sabrina sleeps well for your parents.
Hang in their

If it is any consolation Damien still remembers BF and he is almost 5. She won't forget

I know how you feel - I haven't been able to leave DD overnight b.c I know I would feel the way you do - although DH and I love going out to dinner alone - after a while we definitely miss her and couldn't imagine spending the night away so I'm not as brave as you are - but I'm sure your DD is having an amazing time with her grandparents and is definitely having a blast and a little sleep over party. I promise you she won't hate you for leaving her that short of a time.
As for the BFing I'm sure she won't wean herself in the 1-2 days you are gone. She will be happy to see mommy again and I'm sure be eager to resume her BFing schedule. I think when you BF it is harder on the parent to leave your DC. You can make it all up to her with extra hugs and kisses and snuggles as soon as you return.

Thanks for the support.
I just got back from the ceremony and am doing some school work before the reception (DH is taking pics with the Bridal Party).
I have to say that leaving DD home was the best idea. As much as I miss her, there were some toddlers in the church today and they were so distracting. Their parents had to take them outside. I am so happy to not have to deal with that today. I can enjoy and be a guest and not run around after DD all day.
Off to pump a little!!
