I must be crazy...
because I just signed up to run the NYC marathon this November! I'm running with Fred's team (Memorial Sloan Kettering) and will be raising money for cancer research.
Anyone else running?

I'm so excited! I wonder if anybody else is running too. This is my 2nd NYC and 5th full marathon.

Sure! What would that entail? When I ran for TnT, I just emailed my link out to get donations. Do you usually do something bigger?
Also, I've been told the Fred's schedule is a bit more intense. I've run 7 halfs, but this will be my first full. Any tips for a newbie? Are you following the base schedule?

Just sending the link worked for you!? I have only raised $415 via my link. I also have $150 or so to deposit and send in from collection jars.
I was going to have a fun night at Millera Ale House to raise funds. I have to call them tomorrow for details. I will let you know what they tell me. Who do you email? I'm not nervous about the marathon but I am abott the $3500.00

I got into NY this year as well. I ran it last year and did not think I would get picked out of the lottery this year but I did so I feel like i have to do it one more time LOL. I guess I will be joining you ladies. I must say I am not looking forward to the training especially that I started a new job this week!
