I need a high-risk OB in Nassau. Please help!
The one recommended by my OB does not take my insurance. The insurance company has no info on who does high-risk and who doesn't so rather than call the 300 OBs in Nassau I figured I'd ask here first. Thanks!

I use University Plaza in Garden City. They just added a high risk doctor to their practice. I met her while doing my level 2 and she seemed very nice.

They have a practice in Mineola and Brightwaters.

Dr. Kofinas in Garden City. If they don't take your insurance, as long as you still have out of network benefits, he will work with you.

Dr bergman is the high risk OB at my practice in woodberry. I've seen him once (just at a regular appt) and he's great! very nice!

I know a few people who have seen Dr. Bergman and love him - plus, from what I understand he is very easy on the eyes!!!
And he delivers at North Shore...

dr nadell at complete women's care in garden city (877 stewart avenue) i believe dr lopresti is also high risk! they're AMAZING!!!!

That's who was recommended by my OB - I don't have out-of-network benefits though

Dr. Victor Klein in Great Neck. He is a top maternal and fetal medicine specialist. Jennifer Lopez used him for her twins. GL!

hahahaha ya he isn't bad looking at all! lol I go to doctor prince in the practice and it's a really great practice. and like this poster said they delivver at north shore manhasset

haha so funny you say this because my SIL used to work for them and she said all of the ladies had a crush on him. i don't think he's necessarily EASY on the eyes, it's his personality that makes me swoon over him haha. i guess that's not a good thing when you have a crush on your ob huh?? he honestly has an amazing personality though. we sat there talking politics and just every day things one time. he's just so honest and nice

I am seeing David Bergmann in Woodbury. The practice name is "Preferred Women's Health" - they have an office in Woodbury and the main office is in Great Neck. I saw Victor Klein when I was first looking (before we were officially preg) and he was TERRIBLE about returning phone calls - 5 messages and a WEEK later I would finally get a call back. He broke off from a larger practice with 1 other dr and I think they have been overwhelmed by the # of followers they had.
So far I like Bergmann a lot - he returns phone messages within a few hours and is very proactive about my health. I had gest diabetes with #1 that required serious monitoring and medication - which made me high risk...
HTH!!!

actually it was Dr. Melissa Oppenheim (also in the group) that delivered my DS.
I actually love the whole group - you won't go wrong with any of them - Bergman, Marchbein, Oppenheim, Prince and can't remember the others

I also recommend Dr. Bergman. He is wonderful. I hated having to switch docs from him but he is just too far for me to go and he actually called me to see how I was doing even though I switched. Awesome doctor!
