I need a reputable place in NYC to appraise/sell a diamond and platinum ring.

It's very old--probably from the 1950s or earlier. It's heavy. About 1/4 inch thick with diamonds all around (an endless band I think it's called?) Anyway, does anyone have a recommendation for a trustworthy place--preferably one you have used before?

Daniel Diamonds in the Diamond District is very good....I have bought there for years...They can be a little pushy but don't get turned off...See if Alex is there

I got my wedding & e-ring from Leigh J. Nacht in the city...he deals with antique & replicas...i think he will buy stuff...i know he sells it. I loved working with him...he even fixed some antique pieces from my grandmas. He is very low-key and friendly...not the typical diamond district seller....here's his site.

the gemological society is alsoin the diamond district. I got my ring appraised there years ago for insurance purposes.
