I need birthday ideas for October
My boys will be 3 in October. Would be interested in having some type of octoberfest/farm birthday.
White post is so expensive. Does anyone have any other ideas. Have you ever been to a birthday at a farm?

You could do it at your house and have farm animals and ponies. My gf did this and used lollipop pony parties.

I have never gotten away with a bday party paying any less then that. I had a petting zoo and pony rides party about 5 years ago and I think I paid around that back then.

I am not sure where you live but Yaphank Farm or the Long Island Game Farm might be cheaper. I also had a small pizza party in October for my kids and their friends. They painted and decorated small pumpkins and all snacks were fall themed.

Re: I need birthday ideas for October
I did this but I used Uncle Carmine's Traveling farm, he was fantastic! But, definitely more expensive to do at home than at White Post, and way more work. I always preferred doing parties at home but each time it came out to be way more expensive (although I wasn't particularly budget conscious).

You could try the Holtsville Ecology Site. They have a pavilion you can reserve and then you can use the playground and go to the animal preserve.

I don't think you'll find anything for less than 350. At that point I would rather just have it out so I didn't have to set up/clean up. I could be wrong though.
Have you looked into those tumbling buses?
What about doing a little costume party. You can have a fall themed craft..the pumpkin idea is cute. I'm sure if you do something like that you can find lots of great ideas on pinterest. Then you just have to pay for food/cake.

Yes, we totally expect to pay that. I just dont feel having the animals at house is worth $350. What a rip off!!!

Re: I need birthday ideas for October
I actually don't think it's that bad. When we did it they had to bring all of the animals in a trailer in individual cages and unload the animals. One staff member watched the kids with the smaller animals and one staff member did pony rides. Then they had to pack them up back into the trailer. It was a decent amount of work and the kids and parents all loved it. So in the end, it was definitely worth the money.
