I need encouragement...This pregnancy is kicking my butt!!
I was released from my RE to my OB last week. I have had 3 Hcg bloodtests and 2 sonos. I even got to see the heart and hear the heart beat last Fri. I am measuring a few days ahead and am about 6 1/2 weeks.
I had terrible morning sickness with Ava that lasted 24 hrs a day, starting at about 7 weeks till 13 weeks. I took Zofran 3 x daily. I just felt constantly sea sick. It was tough, but I continued to work and got through it.
This time, it's 10 times worse. It started at five weeks, and I am tied to my couch. I can barely take care of Ava, my house is a mess, and Of the 3 days a week that I work, I am lucky if I can make it 2 days.
It makes me feel terrible that I can't take her to the park or library or even pay much attention to her. My DH and my Mom have both stepped up big time. I am lucky to have them both.
All I can do is lay still on the couch and eat. I am not eating because I feel hungry, but because when I do eat, I can get 1-2 hours of less nausea afterwords. So between that and the lack of moving around, I feel like I have put on about 10 lbs in 2 weeks.
I know I shouldn't be complaining, because we tried for a while to have this baby and because it is basically a "miracle" that we got pg this time around. I really am grateful, but just having a hard time.
Did anyone go through this? Any advice?
Thanks

I had terrible morning sickness with DS that lasted for more than half the preg. Forget about the house. DD knows you love her and that's important.
Hnag in there- hope it gets better!

I never had MS to that extent but being PG with your second I felt was harder in the beginning especially if you have an infant or toddler to take care of. In my case it was an infant. I can't tell you how many times I just let DS play on the floor and I would fight to keep my eyes open or I would let him lay with me on the couch while we both napped. I found that I needed to push myself more in the beginning.

I'm sorry, I had terrible MS with my pregnancy that started at 5 weeks and lasted until 18 so I know how you feel. Maybe someone can help you with the house? Even a light housekeeper? Just worry about feeling better and keeping that baby nourished. Drink and eat to your heart's content-especially if it gives you even a little relief! I hope you feel better!

Other than talking to your doctor, my advice is to sit on the couch & eat. Your only job for the next 33.5 weeks is to grow that baby. Ava will survive - and even better, she'll get used to playing on her own & occupying her time. Your house will be cleaned eventually - if not by you than by the Department of Health....or you can kill 2 birds with one stone & show Ava how to clean the house.
Complaining IN NO WAY means you are any less grateful for what you have. We all complain - and even more so when we're not feeling well. Take care of yourself & your little bean. It's all you can do. Everything else will work out.

Re: I need encouragement...This pregnancy is kicking my butt!!
All I can say is I know how you feel.
After trying for over 2 yrs to have Noah, I got PG through IVF and it was HORRID. I threw up 5 times a day and I couldnt even drink awater. It was an ordeal to get dressed and put a smile on.
Zofran stopped working, I eventually had ito get an IV of it instead to provide constant flow.
Not trying to scare you either, jsut saying, it could be even worse.
Take care of you. DO what you can. To hell with teh cleaning, it doesnt matter. Just do what you can.
Hang in there!
eta- advice for the nausea is drink lemon in everything, it helped a tad bit.

I'm soooo sorry
I had MS for the first time with DC#2, but it wasn't severe. Can I just say I was miserable trying to work and care for a toddler at the same time. I can't imagine it being 10x worse than what I had. I feel for you and pray it ends soon

I know exactly how you feel. This is my second pregnancy too and it was very difficult in the beginning. I felt sick for the entire day, starting at 10 am. It was so hard for me to go to work and take care of dd. Dh did pitch in but not to the extent that was very helpful. It got better for me and I hope it does for you as well.

I am so sorry you feel this way. I am feeling the same as well sometimes. I dont have nausea as bad as you do but there are days where I am like I wish I can just be by myself. I feel like I dont have enough energy for DS since I found out i was preggo. Just hand in there only a few more weeks. That is what I keep telling myself.

I used to do the same thing. I hope it gets better for you soon.
