I need help keeping the toys in the playroom...now with picture
The previous owners converted a 2 car garage into a 1 car and then made the other one a room. It is off my kitchen and out of the way. It is the perfect size room. I cleaned out all of the toys 2 days ago and only left 1 canvas cube for each DC and then the kitchen, train table and the trains. So now they have room in their even if it is a mess. What I don't understand is why my DS is now setting up his train tracks starting in the middle of the foyer going into my kitchen , not to mention he took the rest of this toys out and brought them into our empty dining room. I know that the room is HUGE and empty but it is so frustrating.
What can I do? I am this close to nailing the train tracks to the train table!!

Probably the same reason why I now have Caden's Kangaroo Climber (little tykes gym with slide) sitting in the middle of my livingroom...
I DO NOT, however, know exactly what that reason is....

OMG - i'm sorry but that picture is too funny. He set them up perfectly! I say if it keeps him busy - let him play wherever he wants

We do not have one room, not overtaken by toys ..I think its inevitable and "hopefully" one day I'll miss all those little toys

LOLOLOL....that looks like my house too, right down to the missing top of the train station (DS always takes it off too). I bought a huge basket and leave it next to the train table. At the end of the night, I just throw everything in the basket. It helps me keep it somewhat organized.

OMG my DS does this too
I agree with Diana, let him be occupied and then put it back at the end of the day so that maybe (HA) he gets the picture that they do in the playroom now

Jared has a train table and always takes the tracks off the table to create a layout on the ground. I say, if it keeps him occupied, then let him do it! Jared knows that he has to clean it up when he's done.
