I don't know if they let you order sizes bigger than you are now.

Re: I need help!!if you were a size 4 and now your 5-7 months
It's good that they let you do that. I remember RK Bridal wouldn't let us do that. My friend was 4 mos preggo for my wedding and she needed a LOT of work done. But, it was her 3rd child, so it's a litle different.
I am definately not a size 4 right now, but I would say that if your dress size was 4, maybe get a 6. This way you will have a lot less work to do and when your breasts and stomach swell, you will have more leeway. And, if you don't get preggo, then you won't have THAT much work to do.

I would totally go bigger. I would go for a size 10-12. You don't know how your body change (if at all) if you get pregnant.

Ahh, a size 4 I hope and pray I can fit in my size again I would just tell the bridal store your concerns and I am sure they can recommend what the best size would be. The larger the better I suggest because it can always be taken in. Good luck

That's a tough call since getting PG *could* take some time... I mean if you don't get PG right away you'll be sitting there with a size 12 dress, and still be a size 4-- and that would be a mess as well.
What is the absolute latest you could order the dress?

totally agree...
i used to be a petite 2/4 but post wedding when i gained about 20 pounds i was a 6. i am starting my 7th month now and would go nowhere near a dress that was not maternity. i'm tiny (5') and my belly is enormous!

Re: I need help!!if you were a size 4 and now your 5-7 months
I was a size 6 when my SIL ordered my dress when I was 8 weeks pg.
IT's hard to predict how you will carry and how much weight you will gain.
What type of dress is it? Is it empire waisted or maternity friendly?
My SIL's dress is not maternity friendly at all, and now just beginning my 8th month IT DOESN"T FIT AROUND MY TUMMY!!! THey ordered me a size 16.
I would order a 12-14 for 6-7 months pg. It easier to take in then to let out. FOr me, I can forget about that dress fitting, they already let it out around my tummy as much as possible and a maternity panel won't work because of the style of the dress.

I would hold off ordering the dress for as long as possible. You may not get pregnant for a few months, and might not be showing at all yet for the wedding.
Alternatively, order a size that fits you now, and order extra fabric, so they can add panels should you be "expanding" when the time comes.

Re: I need help!!if you were a size 4 and now your 5-7 months
Ugh, I was a size 2 myself and now at 51/2 months pg EVERYTHING has grown. I can't even fit some of the maternity clothes I bought!!! So I suggest you go a decent amount bigger. Everyone is different. I do know that at the bridal shop my friend used, they said it was much better to get bigger because it is easier to take it in and it would cost an arm and a leg to make the dress bigger after its ordered.

i had the same problem and i ordered the biggest size they had knowing alterations were capped at $50.00, maybe the dress place can do that for you.
for me, i am due a week before her wedding .. so now i'm debating whether to still be a part of it!

I would order a couple of sizes bigger. If you order a dress too big, sometimes they can't take it in without ruining the dress.
Everyone carries different but 16w, 3d, I'm still in all my clothes, no maternity yet.

I can tell you that if this is your 3rd you will probably get much bigger earlier on then you did with the 1st too... I am 8 weeks and have already gone up one full size in my wait.
with every pregnancy you get BIGGER then the one before it seems.
I think a 14 would be good.

I was in a similar situation. We oredered dresses for my friends wedding in Jan. and I wasn't pregnant yet, but hoping to be. I measured an 8 (though I know that a 6 would fit) and I initially ordered a 12. I wound up finding out I was pregnant a few weeks later and we were able to change the dress to a maternity one.

I am usually a size 4, but remember bridesmaid dresses run differently and you may be like a 6 or an 8 in BM dresses normally. I was 6 months when i got measured for my friends wedding and i tried on the sample size and figured it out from there.
It is always better to order bigger than smaller.

Re: I need help!!if you were a size 4 and now your 5-7 months
I am going to be in my SIL's bridal party this summer and I will be 6 months pregnant. Macy's already ordered the dress, and said they couldn't change it to a bigger size, so they just ordered extra material.
