I need ideas in nursery! please help! (here are some choices)
Okay ladies i'm not sure what to do with this wall by the crib. Any ideas?
i was thinking a toy chest and some shelves, but now i'm not so sure. Originally we were going to put an armoire there but it's too big.
Ideas please!!!

Re: Also i need ideas! please help!
careful with those toy chests.... the heavy lids can slam down on tiny fingers.... I had one in my bedroom as a little kid, and my mom was so freaked I may hurt my fingers she kept the toys inside locked up
I dunno, maybe it's my mind being stuck in a small apartment, but that wall looks PERFECT for a changing table!

well, it looks like the light switch is there. are the book shelves too high? Bc then you may only be able to fit the toy chest. I would probably do that with some shelves.

The light switch is going to be moved so that's not issue.
Neither is the toy chest. Its one where you won't get pinched fingers.

We have the changing table on the other wall:
See the problem we've had is we have those low windows, which ended up scr*wing us up furniture wise.

what if you switch the crib to the wall with the light switch? could you fit another storage piece next to the closet? It looks like you have a nice size closet in there but you can never have too much storage. Will the nursery also become the playroom or do you have another area of the house for play (like the basement)? Also, what about a glider? Are you putting one in there?

if we switched the crib, it really equals out to the same amount of wall space.
See i am a huge storage person thats why i'm trying to find something else that works.
We have a family room (in addition to our living room) that will end up being the play room. It's my husbands play room right now! Plus we plan on finishing our basement in a few years.
I was thinking of putting a glider in that one corner where the diaper genie is now. But i'm not sure if there is enough rooom..

if you're going to storage, i like #1 or #2. i put some canvas bins in the baby's bookcase and they're holding all sorts of stuff.

oh, I see the changing table now... yeah, it's one of the wider ones.... gotcha.... that would never fit in the space next to the crib.
well, I would maybe put a dresser on the wall that has the baseboard, and maybe put a glider in the room, and that is it. Since you have a good sized closet, you likely don't need that much extra storage.
It might be for the best that you keep the # of furniture pieces down for the moment, and then buy according to your needs as your baby becomes a toddler.

yeah, i think a glider could fit where the diaper genie is. If you are to get a piece of furniture for extra storage I would make sure that it could then go into the playroom one day, when you convert the crib into a full sized bed.

I wanted #2 for our nursery. Did you see it in person? It is a lot bigger than I imagined. We ended up getting this one from Target - Beadbaord bin tower. I also like the toychest. Maybe the toychest can go under one of the windows?
