I need recommendations for a good but inexpensive carseat!
We are going to retire the infant carseat, so we need to get a car seat for DH's car (we only got one carseat at my shower). Since this is the extra car seat I don't want to spend too much $ on it. Just something that is safe and easy to get DS in and out of.

We got the Cosco Alpha Omega Elite for under $100., it's easy to install, easy to get DD in/out & even has a cup holder. We switched her at 7 months so she's been in it for a while

We don't have a seat in DH's car. She only rides in mine but I have friends who have this seat and LOVE it!

Cosco Scenera's have good reviews on the carseat forums. They are around $50 or less. Walmart and Kmart both carry them.

We have this one as a 2nd one- and honestly, I love it way more than my Britax!
It reclines, and it looks super comfortable (I wish I had one for myself!)

Re: I need recommendations for a good but inexpensive carseat!
we got 2 britax covertible seats at my baby shower, but i needed an inexpensive one for my in-laws car...we got the Evenflo Titan. It was recommended by Baby Bargains as the best seat for 2nd car/grandmas car...we got it at BRU for about $75 (it was on sale when we got it though, dont know how much it is normally).

I agree with this! Target ususally has it on sale for $64 when they run the baby sale. Not sure if you can wait it out though. It seems to come up fairly frequently.

This is what I got for DH's car too (he only picks up Ryan from daycare anyway - otherwise he uses my car).
Anyway, if you want it, I just got a coupon for 15% off any carseat at Target. FM me and I'll mail it to you.

We got this one too for my ILs car. What I really liked about it was that it later turns into a booster seat. So you don’t have to buy another seat later, so for $100-150 you are done buying carseats.

Re: I need recommendations for a good but inexpensive carseat!
We have an Evenflo Triumph I got for $60 or $70 buck on clearance in Target. If you can hold out until the end of the year I think target starts clearincing their car seats. When I bought the Triumph they also had a comfortsport on clearance for under $50.

I have this one! It's great!! I got it for less than $50 at Walmart. They have a neutral pattern for boys or girls and a girly pattern.

DH has a comfortsport and so does my parents - it was the seat the Mineola Car seat guy recommended for a second car seat.
