I need recommendations for daycare for Sept.
My stepmother just informed us that she will not be watching DS anymore. So now I'm in such a bind. Does anyone know someone in the Stony Brook, Northport, or North Babylon areas that watches children? And if so what their rates are? I have no idea how I'm going to swing this.

I use Kiddie Care in Commack (between Northport and North Babylon) and am very happy with them. I believe they charge $240 a week for full-time care, ( which can be 6:30 AM - 6:30PM).

Samantha goes to Little Rascals in Miller Place (is that too far??) we love it there and so does she.....its 255 for the baby rm a week....(6:30-6:30, we go 8-5ish..but there are plenty there the whole time too) if you want more info, fm me!)

Just wanted to give you That stinks.
Also those are such good rates! Day care centers around here are $250 and up. I finally turned to home care.

Kindercare was my 2nd choice - on Main street between Northport and Huntington - I really liked them a lot - I think they are about 350 a week....

I've heard good things about this place from friends who teach. They are also in the same building as the Child Care Council, and that can't be a bad thing.

This is convenient for when your kid is in Kindergarten if you're in the Northport school district. The extended kindergarten is in the same building.

I use Kiddie Care in Commack too!!!! I have 2 kids and it is 1550 per month. One is in the Infant II room and the other in a toddler class. I've been happy.

Kindercare has some critical violations. I was going to send Emma there, but after some research, decided not to. It seems ALL of their locations have violations, including the commack/huntington one.

Island Kids has another location in East Northport/Greenlawn (Oswego Dr)
