I need serious sleep/feeding help before I lose my mind

I am at a loss. I am sleep deprived...I have not slept more than 3 hours at a time in 3 months. Last night alone he had THREE bottles between 1 and 6:30 Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

During the day, he barely naps unless I am holding him. If I am holding him and put him down, 5 seconds later he is wide awake and fussing for me to pick him up. I can occasionally get a 1 hour nap out of him in the swing.

He is still only drinking 4 oz. at a time(sometimes I have to add an extra ounce but barely) but EVERY 2 hours, sometimes 2 1/2 hours. I have tried stretching his feedings to every 3 hours but he starts screaming.

At this point Tyler was drinking an almost 8 oz. bottle every 4 hours, napping well during the day and sleeping almost through the night only waking for maybe 1 bottle. Everyone keeps telling me it will get better but it' not!

I know he is not old enough to CIO and I am not a fan of it anyway. Sometimes I have to let him cry for a couple of minutes to wear himself out when he is over tired just so he will take a nap...a big 20 min. cat nap Chat Icon

It is getting to the point where I am getting angry about it. DH and I are arguing because we are both exhausted. He has to work so I feel terrible for him.

I just dont know what to do.

I am NOT a fan of CIO but I think you may need to let him fuss for a little while longer so he can start learning to soothe himself. There is nothing wrong with letting him fuss for 5-10 minutes and it may be his way of getting his energy out.

Does he use a pacifier? If he isn't spitting up the night bottles, there isn't much you can do about the night feedings. I think both my kids were still waking twice a night (after a 7:30 bedtime) for feedings. Can you try bigger bottles and burping half way through?

Maddie was JUST like this. I couldn't take it and once I went back to work it was a nightmare. The only thing that helped me when I was home was this:

It was the BEST purchase ever!!! I would put it on and it would sway back and forth. They sell them at BRU and BBB. It's called, "Fisher-Price Soothing Motions Glider."

Are you 100% sure he is hungry? Cause I know Chloe is kinda like that and if I fed her she would eat, but my Ped told me she's not hungry but gassy and fussy....soemtimes her gas is minimal and she just fusses and it sounds like hunger cues...and eating is a comfort so they will eat if you give it to them.

I would try to up the bottles an oz and try to figure out the fussiness.

Soem babies just fuss...a LOT...and its awful on no sleep. Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

I don't like CIO either, and not that young, but I know sometimes My DD will wake up screaming , and I am sometimes tending to the other baby and she has to cry, nothing I can do and sometimes after 5 minutes of screaming , she just goes back to sleep....I dont know why she was crying in the first place Chat Icon So b/c I have two to juggle, I usually try everything to soothe them before picking them up...

I'm sure you ahev tried most of this anyway and so just some more hugs...It will get better Chat Icon Chat Icon

I have this glider if you want it. Did not work for my kids, but your welcome to it.

Had same problem with my daughter. Did you try holistic colic tablets? a little malloxx (plain) 1mm?
