I need some good vibes UPDATED
SO Dh and I have been talking about going to Israel forever. He is from there and hasn't been back in years. His mom and sister haven't seen DD since she was a newborn and his dad and other sister never met her.
My babysitter is taking off the first week in April, so we decided it would be the best time to go. The prices are decent and if we go before DD turns two, we don't have to buy her a seat. She turns two on 4/14. We were going to buy the tickets tonight.
WELL I had a meeting with a client and our expert today. The partner was supposed to be there, but he was sick. So I ended up prepping the case for the upcoming arbitration. Guess when the arbitration is- THE WEEK I WAS GOING TO BE IN ISRAEL.
So I emailed my boss asking him if he needs me to be here for the arbitration. I am just hoping he says no. I REALLY want to go to Israel and this is the only time we can go wtihout having to buy a separate ticket for Jordana which is upwards of $1000.
Plus if I don't go then, I have to figure some alternate childcare for DD. My mom is still in Florida that week.
So send me good vibes, prayers, whatever. I know its not very important in the grand scheme of things, but its something I would love to do.
UPDATE: It's very unusual, but I haven't heard back, and I e-mailed him at 11:30. I can call him at home (which I won't), or leave him a voice-mail message at the office (which I might).

good luck shelly! It would be a wonderful trip for you, I'm sure. I'm dying to go back to Israel. DH has never been, and I spent a month there 9 years ago. It's such an amazing place.

We will stay in Jerusalem with his family and hopefully take a trip out to Eilat.

That is so great! Every year we go to Tel aviv, jerusalem, and Haifa - but I have really been wanting to go to Eilat (DH used to go all the time).

Eilat is gorgeous. Well, I think every party of Israel is gorgeous in it's own way, but I love the color of the water in Eilat. When I spent my month there, we did this hike in the desert that led to this GORGEOUS view of the Red Sea. I'll never forget it. I didn't get to go to Haifa during that trip, so I really want to next time I go.
Shelly, sorry you haven't heard yet. I really hope you get to go.
