I need some organization - tell me about your wallet!!

I'm a total mess when I go to pay. My credit cards are crammed together so I struggle to pull out the right one. When I get back change from cash payments I end up dropping coins while putting away bills. I accumulate a silly amount of receipts that get stuffed in with the cash. So who has a great system? What do you use?

I have the Cole Hann Village Zip Wallet. I got it at their outlet store for about 70 last year. I really like it because it has so many cc compartments and two cash compartments. On one side I use it for my insurance stuff and papers and the other I use for money. It also has a zippered section for coins.

I have a Kipling. I love it - holds a LOT, doesn't take up a lot of room.

I carry a large bag with my coupon organizer, phone, cosmetic bag, etc, etc. If I'm just running into a store I grab my kipling and go - I can also fit my keys and phone in there.

Also - if you have credit cards that you don't use all that often, or member club cards, or gift cards keep them in a separate thing like this (I have a vera bradley zip ID case and it also fits in my kipling):

my wallet holds my credit cards and bank card on one side, my license and insurance cards on the other.
I've removed any cards for places that i don't shop at frequently, and canceled the accounts of ones that i really don't need. This really helps keep the bulk down. You don't need to (and aren't supposed to) carry your SS card with you. Got rid of old blockbuster cards etc
The coins go in a separate zippered compartment in the back of the wallet.

in my purse, i use the two pockets on the inside of the purse for receipts, and the other for coupons. (i have a coach bag, they seem to always have these two pockets in there, one for cell phones, and another similar sized next to it). Every week i go through the two pockets and get rid of expired coupons and make sure to record the receipts in my bank book.

i also try to make a point to keep my money in sequential order and all facing the same way so i can easily see how much i have in there (but i'm anal and always have done that )

i keep all my cosmetics in one bag that i can easily grab instead of rummaging around for various items. the only 'loose' items in my purse are my wallet, cosmetic bag, large comb and a pen.

i guess that's all, but it works for me
