I need someone to design my kitchen.

I am moving my kitchen and unfortunately, because its a cottage (right now) with no basement I need to also add in my washer/dryer. Can anyone recommend someone. My dh and Uncle will do the work and I will hire a plumber but its the design I am desperately needing.

Have you tried going to Home Depot or Consumers? I wouldn't tell them that you are looking to have your DH or Uncle do the work but use them to pick at their brain and have them come in and give you ideas. They can do different designs for you and then you do what you want.

I went to Consumers so far and have an appt at Home Depot today. Consumers was good and spent alot of time helping design it for us. There are a few things I want another opinion (and quote) on that I felt the guy at Consumers was saying wasnt possible. Neither place is going to care that you have someone to do the install, Im sure half their sales are on just the materials. Consumers came in and did a free measuring for us and had it in their computer when we went for the appt. HD said they charge $100 to measure but you get that back if you purchase through them. Today I am going with just my own measurements which I believe are pretty accurate since I was at Consumers for 2 hours and saw their measurements on the screen for awhile during our appt.
