I need to take the CST in multiple subjects...
I am so tired of taking tests....
If you took it, could you please share with me what it was like, the type of questions that were asked, and what you used to prepare for it? Any good study guides?

go to www.nysed.gov click on teachers and then certification. there is a link for the testing website and they have a sample test. it's a PDF file so you can print it out.
ETA: i found it very easy and passed with a high score. it's basically all multiple choice with an essay at the end. it's 99% likely that the essay will address teaching reading. they will give you a mock siutation of a reader displaying certain behaviors and you have to diagnose it as well as provide as a solution (i.e. what type of lessons would you do to help the problem)

awesome - I'm a board certified behavior analyst... Now THAT test was brutal!!!
