I need to Vent - house for sale (long)

I need to vent about this whole selling of my house.... I'm a full time working mom with two kids (2.5 and 6 months). Its a struggle to get out of the house on a normal day (DH is way gone before the kids are up) and even more of a struggle when I'm told someone is coming to look at the house. My house has been on the market for just 2 weeks (I'm a first time seller). Last weekend was our first open house (sat and sunday) plus about 3 or 4 people came to look at other times. So I was at my parents house all weekend long.

My point is that I work my *** off to make the house look good/clean please as a buyer do not cancel your appointment to see my house....
Also, if your not 100% sure don't put an offer in!!!!! (both offers were reneged because they were not sure about the location (church across the street - FYI: the quietest church in town) When we purchased our home we looked at it for hours and even went back twice. I feel like people are just running in a placing an offer.

This is just how I'm feeling right now, this is no way meant to pick on any buyers on lifamilies. I'm stressing and I'm guessing its only going to get worse. This is giving me more grey hairs then my kids!!!

thank you, for letting me get this off my chest!!!

Since 2 people put in an offer, at least there is serious interest. When you are there and they come to see the house, maybe you can mention that you thought they might be concered about the church, but to let them know that it is a quiet church.

I'm sure that after they put in offers, they thought of it, but if you cut them off at the pass, maybe that will work. Just a suggestion. Good luck, I hope it sells quickly for you!!

DO I FEEL YOUR PAIN!! what fights i would get into with DH to keep the house clean, HOW to keep the house clean (i am completely anal.. i have to have vacuum stripes, certain towels out, other things).
AND when the people cancelled, let down #1, then you think of all the work that you did to prepare. it's so annoying.
How about when they don't even bother to tell you that they are cancelling. has that happened to you? that's even worse.
i am happy to be off the market for a little while. i will be re-listing may 1, 2009, after the contract is up with my current realtor.

I cannot imagine trying to do what you do on a daily basis and keep the house spotless too. It's hard enough to clean up for guests - and those aren't people looking in every closet. Sounds like there's interest though so hopefully it will go quick.

I feel your pain except I was selling my house when pregnant with my DS#2. By far the best and worst experience of my life. I don't ever plan on moving again. Hope things get better and you sell soon. Chat Icon Chat Icon

That stinks!!Chat Icon

Can you suggest to you r RE agent to have them come at certainhours (even without her) so that they can see how quiet the church is or to calm any other possible resevations? When DH and I looked for homes, we would constantly drive by at all random hours to check out the areaChat Icon Sounds silly, but it really helped.

It is frustrating and it sucks, but you also have to realize that in this economy there are SOOOOOO many houses out there, that peol eget confused so quickly. They are also concerned about their jobs, so EX: if someone had an awful day at work and got yelled at, they might panick and want to look for a cheaper house or hold off, KWIM.

It still sucks and is frustrating none the less, soChat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

oh please, don't be jealous!!! yep one offer completly of the table and the other on hold (the second people will be back once we get another offer, imo. they have insider information) our agents work for the same company. and the buyer is the sister of the agent.
