It's hard to put into words what this whole ordeal of IF is like to someone who has never had any of these issues.
My mom still insists that I go to some doctor her friend went to 20 years ago for IF. And I am sick of hearing about St Gerard...really.

I have heard every reasoning in the world...and I can't begin to tell you the things I was told when we lost Rogan.
I know it's hard, especially coming from your Mother, but sometimes you just have to tune them out. I have learned to take what my Mother has said to me with a grain of salt....they are not Drs. and they have no experience with this, so their "advise" is pointless and you really have to look at it that way and yes them to death. I don't argue anymore, I just agree.
I'm sorry you are going through this on top of everything else.

You know your dad is just trying to be helpful, but I would be extremely frustrated in this as well. How could he think his way is better than the trained doctor's way? I think if you just say to him that what he says is hurting you, and that you really would just prefer that he were a sounding board and stop giving the advice, maybe he would listen. Men are like they, they want to fix everything. They don't get that sometimes we just need to cry/vent.
I'm sorry this is happening to you. With everything going on this is the last thing you need, something else to worry about
