I REALLY NEED HELP DECORATING AND PAINTING
HELLO LADIES I NEED YOURE HELP
I HAVE AN OPEN FLOOR PLAN WHICH CONSISTS OF LIVING ROOM, DINING ROOM AND KITCHEN
THE MAIN COLORS ARE BLACK AND IN THE KITCHEN I HAVE GREEN COUNTERTOPS AND BACK SPLASH
WHAT THE PROBLEM IS I NEED HELP DECORATING THE OTHER ROOMS
I WOULD LOVE TO MAKE THE LIVING ROOM LOOK LIKE A DIFFERENT ROOM
BUT HOW ? PAINT A DIFFERENT COLOR, OR WINDOW TREATMENTS ?
I AM HORRIBLE WITH THIS AND I CAN USE ALL THE HELP I CAN GET .
PLEASE PROVIDE A PIC OR EXAMPLE WITH YOURE IDEAS

You have a beautiful house!!! I don't have any pics, but I know some of the other ladies and gents on here have updated their home and have great pics!!
I would say a light maroon color would look great in your kitchen!!! Honestly, I like the color of your walls in the living room. It leaves you open for versatility! Maybe just switching around the furniture might give you the look you want. We put up some pictures and added some color that way too.

Since you have green counter tops in your kitchen, I wouldnt paint maroon. I would say a nice Sage color would really look great....And for your living room I would go with a Warm Beige color....Possibly Taupe. We painted our back bedroom and the lower wall of our dining room with Behr Taupe and it looks amazing. Also I would say To get some nice throw pillows for the couch, Possibly a scarf or two for the window, and curtains for a dramatic effect.
The carpet is very light - Not sure if you were keeping the carpet or not. If you were replacing it, I would do Pergo and an area rug.....
Maybe some Pictures on the wall - Sconces....
A nice wood Cocktail table with two end tables, and Dark Lamps...The Antique Bronze Color...

Sis I forgot to tell you the other day when I was over how much I like your end table storage thingy. Where did you get it so I can copy you?
I love that I can throw your nephew's toys that he leaves all over the Living room in there
