I really need to be told that this (teething) gets better
Ok, so I do know the deal..everyone says it gets better.
I could really use some inspiration though. I am normally upbeat, fun, joking around all the time and since teething started ohhh like 4 weeks ago, I've been a little miserable. I don't deal well with a lack of sleep...
He used to sleep 12 hours straight. Seriously here is the schedule from last night:
7pm-bed 8:30-wake up screaming 10pm-wake up screaming 1:30-wake up half screaming, quieted down and then NOPE, screaming again 4:30am-screaming 5:30am-up for the day. This time he woke up with a smile on his face. How nice.
Ok I love my son. I do. Very much. But if this continues, I may be forced to try the old whiskey on the gums trick.
Please tell me it gets better!
***OH...and to all the working moms who deal with this and get up to start a day at work-I have so much admiration for you-you are very strong women!

I am so sorry - but this is only temporary!!!
Have you tried motrin for the pain along with the humphreys tablets? I have had great success with that.
Hang in there..

I am guessing that you have been trying pain killers...so do Motrin, 3 hours later do Tylenol, 3 hours Motrin, 3 hours Tylenol. That works well for pain relief.
Good LUck!!!

Like everyone else says - it does get better.
Soon enough you'll be jumping up and down when those little teeth pop through...until the next set of teething begins.

It does get better. DS used to do the same thing. Although he still doesnt have any teeth and he still is waking up its not as many times a night and he never screams like he used to.

Re: I really need to be told that this (teething) gets better
It def does get better
Def if you haven't yet, Do the motrin at least 1/2 before bed so it kicks in before DC lays down, then give tylenol, then give motrin again.
I also noticed at least with my DD she got bad gas pains when she's teething badly, so we used to give her mylicon too before bed and in the middle of the night.
Hang in there

Re: I really need to be told that this (teething) gets better
Thanks ladies
He has two bottom teeth (they are both halfway through). When we waked up crying, he is biting his fingers over and over...it isn't hunger, I'm 100% sure of that.
Maybe I'll try the tylenol mixed with motrin in the intervals. Right now he gets motrin before bed...
I just feel like its been a very long few weeks, and he only has 2 teeth!
