I saved a Kittys life tonight!
well I think I did..
I heard this crying ousidefor a few days couldnt figure out where it was coming from.
Today I hear it out in the street LOUDLY..I look out the window and there is this teeny tiny little kitten looking round and round, not moving.
So I run out there, and I thought the thing was half dead. It was adorable though, about 6 weeks old with LONG LONG hair..and then I saw its eyes.... I have to say EWW...Its eyes and nose was covered in guck( only work I can think of) and one eye was basically hanging out!! 
I didnt know what to do , so I picked it up and sat and waited for DH...
We take it to the vet we take our cats too, and they say, unless you pay for a visit, we dont take in any strays or anything. Now its after 5:00..what do I do with it? Its half dead in my eyes. ( and Im falling in love with its groteque eys on an adorable body) ..
SO I give the Vet my last $40 and he looks at him. Says he could have this, that and the other thing, and that his own retina was protruding and he was blind in that eye, but maybe they could save the other eye.
Tells me I cant bring it in the house with my other cats though unless its tested, and I couldnt take that chance. Plus if it was really bad, I and DH both work, we cant take care of it...
So Now I come home, Im crying and I dont know what to do with it.
finally I drove all the way to North Shore animal league in traffic and BEG them to take him...They did 
They took one look at how adorable it was and said" we are supposed to send you away , but we;ll treat him" ...
I wish I could have brouhgt him home...Im so sad now...( but crusty is getting the care he needs now!)
Sorry..had to get my story out...I miss the funny looking thing already!

4 and 1/2 hours of running around, but I feel better, I think DH wanted me to just leave it outside...It was skin and bones, and it couldnt freaking see..it would have died..and I would have felt horrible...I still feel sad though..
I am too much of an animal person.

awwwwwwwwww maybe is a few days call and see how he is doing? and if you really want him back wait a few more days and act like uyou just looking for a cat that looks like one that you had descibe this one and see if he/sh e is ready for adoption! you did the right thing!
for other there are place that will come pick up strays town dept, and look in the phone book. i have saved alot of animals in my time! i can't say no!

It slept in my lap the whole hr car ride to NS Animal league. It just would look up at me, like Thank you for saving me...here come the tears....
I would have paid to have it all taken care of, but the vet couldnt keep it overnight, and what if it had luekimea , I couldt risk my cats life, the Vet said it could be airborne and the others would get it.
I think Im gonna try calling there in like week and see.
There was this really nice nurse and she said uh oh, I have a house full of blind kitties, heres another one...
They really were nice...and then they asked me for a donation of course, and I felt like crap cause I gave my last $40 cash to the dumb vet who wanted me to pay hundreds to treat him.

You should feel SOOOOOOO proud of yourself! Your story made me cry and you DID save its life! My heart breaks when I hear stories like this but you did the right thing! Thank god north shore took him in..he will get a good home i am sure! Good job!!!!

I know, but this ones EYE is hanging out...But it was so fluffy and cute...the Vet said an upper respitory infection spread to its eyes...poor thing

You definately did the right thing! It's amazing how quickly we get attached to animals though, isn't it? At least he's getting the help he needs and hopefully he'll end up in a good home!
