I was reading the book, but many say the movie did not do justice, to much about Cameron Diaz. So I stopped the book, and will pick it up again. I just wanted it to be an enjoyable movie, which it was. But I am sure the book tells a great story. I think Cameron is in the trailers a whole lot more then in the actual movie.

I do love horror movies, but something about Amityville bugged me.. not even sure what, maybe it just seemed so silly the way they developed the characters? (I never saw the original so I have no basis for comparison..) just a little over the top, but prob. that was the point 
It was a little creepy and gory here and there though, and only 1.5 hours. so its worth a rental
I will say that Ryan Reynolds (lead in the movie) while NOT my type at all ... well he has a very very NICE bod  so hey, it was some eye candy at least

I was in the book store last week looking for a book for my trip to keep me busy on the plane. I bought "In Her Shoes".. 7 pages in I realized I've read it already. WHY DO THEY CHANGE BOOK COVERS?! I would have realized I've read it if it had the original cover.. I was so annoyed I don't feel like seeing the movie now..lol
