I seem to have a chill baby.
I always here other people say once they start feeling the baby move around and kick it never stops. I feel like my baby doesn't move around that much at all. I'm over 28 weeks and yes I feel a lot of movement, but it's sporadic throughout the day. I won't feel for hours then I'll get some kicks here and there or rolls then another hour the baby is quiet.
Is that normal b/c I can't say I feel him/her all day long. When I do I LOVE it. I have a sono next week so I'll feel better than after I see the baby

Re: I seem to have a chill baby.
I don't know if its normal but I'm a week behind you and I was thinking the same thing. I def. it moving more than I did but not all the time at all. Some days more than others then I get all nervous on a day I don't feel it as much. I guess the baby needs to sleep too!??

Re: I seem to have a chill baby.
It took me a LONG LONG time to notice a 'pattern' regarding when he moves, when he doesn't etc. - Admitedly, I'm kind of oblivious and not very 'in tune' w/ my body........but I would say at about 31 weeks (just 2 weeks ago) I could tell you he moves a lot early in the morning and late at night ........ Sporadically while I'm at work sitting @ my desk - but he's the MOST active when I'm (trying to) relax and just hanging out or sleeping ........
ETA: - DH and I ate McDonald's last week in a mad rush to our birthing class and he kicked the sh*t out of me for the next hour !! Thankfully I now have another excuse to avoid McDonald's (other than the fact that I immediately regret it once I eat it) - Baby K doesn't like it either !!

Re: I seem to have a chill baby.
With my first daughter, I had the exact same thing going on. So bad that I had a panic attack a little further along in my pg than where you are now. We ended up in L&D (docs office was closed so they sent us there) and she was fine. She was facing my back and kicking me there which is why I couldn't feel her. She spent so much time facing that way DH and I just listened to her on the doppler we had at home if we ever got worried.
The prices for them aren't so bad on ebay, that may help ease your mind

Re: I seem to have a chill baby.
Thanks all! It makes me feel better I'm not the only one not feeling all day long. I am starting to notice somewhat of a pattern.

Re: I seem to have a chill baby.
I'm only 19 weeks and I feel my baby, but its definately sporatic. I sometimes start to worry that it isn't more consistent, but from what I hear EVERYONE is different, and will feel different patterns, amounts of kicks

Re: I seem to have a chill baby.
25 weeks today - i seem to have a 'spurty' baby...
this morning for example - i felt her for a good, solid half hour. and since then - NOTHING...
i think it's pretty darn normal...

Re: I seem to have a chill baby.
My DS was like that, I would feel him for about an hour in the AM then just a kick here or there for the rest of the day, and NOTHING at night. He was very comfy and content in my belly. He is the same baby today! He loves to sit on his couch with his bottle and just relax, yet when he gets wound up he will run non stop forever!! He also was sleeping 5-6 h ours at night from day 1. He never had day night confusion! So I think part of the personality can be “felt” even in the womb!

Re: I seem to have a chill baby.
I would say my baby is relatively chill during the day and I'm 31 weeks. Late at night is when I feel it the most. Even if I wake up at like 4 am I'll feel it at lot. If I'm up and moving around I almost never feel it. I'm hoping it's not too much of a night owl. haha
