I slept for zero hours last night.
I went to bed around 10:30-11:00 and was so tired, and as soon as I laid down, my mind started to race. I got up around 12 and stayed up for about an hour, and went back to bed and just laid there until my alarm went off at 6 this morning I'm so tired today, and I am starting to have major anxiety and I don't know over what. I am so afraid that this is going to be an ongoing thing for me

Re: I slept for zero hours last night.
This happened to me in the very beginning of my pregnancy, I was a NERVOUS wreck and had alot of anxiety - I would just go on the computer or watch TV until it went away, I would sleep at 7pm instead of night time.

Re: I slept for zero hours last night.
Rachel I had the exact same thing. Luckily for me it started when I was already done with work. I used to take a nap in the morning.. that was the only sleep I could get. Its horrible when all you want to do is sleep and your body won't let you.

Re: I slept for zero hours last night.
You poor thing!! Tonight try drinking some milk (it has tryptophan in it which is supposed to help you sleep); you can also try taking a warm -- not too hot bath with some lavender in it. Most of all, try not to have anxiety about not sleeping. That will make it worse. If all else fails, you can take a Benadryl. Most doctors allow it. Good luck tonight.

Yes! And thank god it's a busy day for me with 6 periods of chorus or else I would have fallen asleep at my desk

Re: I slept for zero hours last night.
This happened to me last week too. One night I just could not sleep. We have so much on our minds, it's a wonder we ever get to relax. Hopefully it will only last for that one night for you like it did for me.

Re: I slept for zero hours last night.
Thanks ladies. I will try anything tonight! I need to keep active after work so I don't fall asleep at like 5 and not sleep again tonight!

If you do end up napping when you get home, make sure it is not more than 50 minutes. After that, it starts interfering with nighttime sleep.

Try to listen to classical music. It is very relaxing and might help.
