I stained my new blacktop

we just got a driveway after living here with no driveway we finally got one and spent $4,000
anyway I bought vegetable oil yesterday and when I took it out of the car it dropped and got all over the driveway so I got a pot of water to wash it off the driveway but it spread it all down the whole entire thingChat Icon

Re: I stained my new blacktop

You can try this...I did and it worked for me. We got veg oil on our new pavers, and I kept taking baby powder and smushing it into the stain. And then i would hose it off after day or two and if the stain was still there, add some more. Over about 4 days it was gone.

I think veg oil will wear away and dry up with normal sun and rain. I believe it is differnet than motor oil let's say.

That *****!

It will disappear with the weather...vegetable oil isn't permanent.
