I stayed overnight in L&D (kinda long)
I went to the hospital at about 11pm last night b/c I was having contractions. They hooked me up to the baby monitors and said yes, that I was having them. They checked me and said I was 2cm dilated and 50% effaced. (Mind you, I was none of this 3 days ago in the dr. office when they checked at my appt.) Then they said we cant send you home if you are still having contractions so we are going to give you an IV with 2 bags of fluid in hopes that they will go away and if they dont go away by 6am, you will have a c-section. So, I'm thinking ok.. I doubt this is going to go away since its been 3 full days of this. Sure enough, 6am rolls around, I call for a nurse and they read the monitor and say the contractions havent stopped. She leaves and comes back 20 min later and says that I might have a UTI, they found a slight trace of bacteria which could be causing all of this and the cramps and that Im free to go home. DH and I were like what? The nurse said, if it continues and it gets more painful to come back.. so DH jokingly tells the nurse that we will see her later. So now Im home waiting this out. I just dont see how 3 days prior having these symptoms and having a urine test at my dr. office and having contractions at the dr. appt and everyhing and nobody mentioned about a UTI then, how did I all of a sudden get a UTI 2 days later and yet the contractions never stopped and only got worse and i dilated 2 cm?! So we will see what is going on I guess and I will continue to labor at home. I think they sent me home b/c they were VERY busy and needed a bed.. I guess Id rather labor at home anyway..

That's annoying, but hopefully DH is right and you will get to have the baby early... tonight!!

ill be 37 weeks tomorrow. I just dont understand, Im a scheduled c-section anyway, if they saw this all gong on, why not just do the c section this morning?!

hopefully this baby comes out soon enough! I hope I dilate faster so I dont have to keep going through this.
