I still need help with the bottles. I cant figure this out..

I dont know what to do

When I use the nipple from the hospital ( evenflo)....DS eats a LOT more...about 3oz's at every feeding....but it dribbles out a lot, so I know he's getting a fast stream, but it also only takes 15-20 minutes to eat the 3 oz's.

When I use the avent..it takes FOREVER ....and he seems unhappy.

When I tried the ventaires...we do a little better, but it seems like he doesnt liek the nipple...he plays with it and it takes about 40 minutes to get maybe 2 oz's in him.

Do I get him used to the avent or the playtex? He is eating with them....

Or...do I try to get some type of bottle that is compatible with the nipples we have, even though its a fast flow and it tends to leak out his mouth and he has only spit up on that nipple ( he has only spit up maybe 5 times so far out of all his feedings)....

I know Im annoying, I just dont know what the heck to do.

Our DS does really well with the Platex Drop-ins and Dr Brown's.

after trying a few bottles my DS does best with the nipples from the playtex drop-ins

Actually, Christopher does well with these too, I have been trying them out over the past couple of days. I bought the liners and a bottle comes with it.

I would stick with the advent nipples. It takes longer but that will ensure him not getting too much milk at one time. He's unhappybc he has to do more work with the advent ones than with the hospital nipples. The fast flow nipples can cause him to choke/gag if he's getting to much at one time.

This unfortunately is trial and error, you need to find the bottle/nipple that works. Don't worry you'll figure it out.

Did you try the med. flow? The hospital gives fast flow. So for him to go from ff to the slow one is irritating him. Try the medium and see if that works.
