I survived my first day - so did DS but in different ways
So I went back to work today..... yes, but just temporarily.
DH took the day off today and came with me to daycare to drop DS.
I was SOOO worried!!! I am glad DH was off. We all went to daycare VERY EARLY this morning. So much for me sleeping in until 9am.
I brought all his stuff. Then it was time for me to leave.  I "almost" lost it in the room but controlled myself. How pathetic! I am sure they are used to it. Still, I wanted to stay strong. I did.. until I made it outside the building. Then realized I did not have any @?!$ tissue.
DH stayed with him for a while. He had fallen asleep on the way to the daycare until I left so he did not see me leaving.
DH went to see him again at lunch time for a couple of hours. DS was having a GREAT time apparently. Then DH and I went to pick him up after I came back from work. He was cracking himself up, babbling with everyone. Of course, he made a HUGE gash on his nose scratching himself. He barely looked at me. He saw his dad and started laughing and babbling. So much for missing mommy!!!!! Then he fell asleep on the way.... and still sleeping. He must be pooped.
I missed him so much and can't play with him now.
Oh well!!! Maybe he will remember me later.

awww sophie - it sounds like he had a great day -- and i'm sure he'll be so happy to see you tomorrow! I can only imagine how hard this day must have been for you!
