I tell ya...
Going to parents' houses on Sunday afternoon S*CK. There's never anything good on TV.
I know there are alot of "widows" here who will disagree, but I cannot wait until September.

You visit your parents so you can watch TV?
we go there for dinner
and just spend time with them
they're older, so there's not much they can do

Well this is the only way I am going to get the TV that I actually want.
Don you know I am one of the widows. I simply do not like the game at all and I have made numerous attempts to learn it and enjoy it but I can't. On occasion I will ask questions, but those occasions are few and far between. My dislike for the game does not bother DH at all.
DH plays in a league and has sustained some pretty bad injuries (and caused a few too) that had me taking him to the ER very early in the am. When he told me that they dont wear cups because they are actually more dangerous (because of the way the guys fall), I started to freak out because we were/are TTC and we need to protect "the boys." I dont mind that he actually plays - he enjoys it and I always know where he is.
He is involved in a serious Fantasy League and enjoys that as well. We've made some money from it so THAT part isn't half bad either. He is home when he monitors his league and he has been commissioner as well - I guess that means something.
What DOES bother me is the catatonic stare he presents when watching every college and pro game. It can take a crane to get him off the couch. I've even tried flashing him but to no avail - im rather small. Maybe I can swing some implants if I let him buy the better model TV. Any thoughts Don?

unfortunately - -that stare is noncurable
with me, i only do that stare when the jets are on. It's only 3 hours where I need total concentration. Occasionally, if two teams are playing and the outcome impacts the Jets, I'll also watch intently. But more often than not, my interest lives and dies with the Jets.
Of course, I'll watch other games, but I don't need to watch intently.
