I think I aged 7 years yesterday

Who knows how he did it (I think he climbed up the bumpers, now removed!) but DS fell out of his crib during naptime yesterday. He was having one of his usual screaming fits, which is normal for him to fight me going to sleep. I went in to check on him, and there he was, on the floor. I think I had a heart-attack right there on the spot. Thank goodness my parents were here!

And the little devil........as soon as I picked him up he started LAUGHING!!!!!

He saw the pediatrician who said he is perfectly fine since he didn't lose conciousness/no vomitting.

I still felt like I did something wrong though.Chat Icon Has anyone else been through something similar so I don't feel like such a horrible parent?!

You are NOT a horrible parent. You just have a very resourceful childChat Icon Chat Icon

A story to make you feel better...

My brother fell out his bedroom window on the second floor of our house when he was 18 months. My Mom had put him in for a nap and saw him in our front yard about a half hour later. The Dr said he fell the right way and my father had just dug up our cesspool so the ground was really soft.

OMG.Chat Icon That definitely makes me feel better. I know this is completely normal stuff that happens with them, and they are a lot tougher then they look, but it doesn't feel that way in the moment................I dread what's going to happen in the months to come!Chat Icon

Kids do this to us Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

In the past week DS (16 months) fell at the playground and chipped two teeth and split his lip open...then, last night he fell into the door hinge in DD's room, hit his head and has a huge colorful bump on his head.

I swear, if something else happens I am just wrapping him in bubble wrap! Chat Icon
