I think I am doing the old Sarah Jessica Parker look.
I'd rather play with my kid than dye my roots or make a salon appointment. I have the "dark on the top" look totally down. I probably look like a slob but I have convinced myself that I like it. I need a haircut and I will either get the color done then or do it myself before then. I will not let my hair guy see this unless I am in his colorist's chair. Until I do it, though, I am going to convince myself that this is really hot and I have not let myself go. Humor me!!!!
BTW--does anyone feel like they want to go back to their natural haircolor because their kids have that color? Now I feel like I don't want to be the only one of the 3 of us who is blonde.

I am with you on the whole "letting the roots show" thing. However, I am DYING to bring all 3 of my kids to my colorist and say "THIS... THIS is the exact color and highlighting that I want!"

My DS is already darker than my natural color ever was. I feel like our colors are just so far apart. I have seen kids whose hi-lights I'd want, though.

Thats why I went darker and not only do I think it looks much better but it is also low maintenance for me...goodbye highlights.

Once I got pregnant, I went back to my natural color for the very first time since I was 12. I figure that I might as well take advantage of my hair color while I can because soon I will be dyeing it because I HAVE to and not because I WANT to. Thank goodness I have no grays yet!

What's my excuse then????
The twins are blond...Caden looks to be dirty blond...I get asked all the time where the blond hair comes from.
I color my hair b/c I have too many gray hairs than I care to admit too...I'd trade you your dark roots any day!!!!

I'm not only pretending that I look good with dark roots, I am pretending that there is no gray in there. Please, the gray hairs are thicker and very visible and I have more than a few.

I am ALWAYS being asked where Logan's fair hair comes from.
I was blonde as a baby and for most of my adult life, then I have a blonde baby boy and go red.
