I think I am going to WDW!
DH and I got our vacation time approved for early November and are thinking of going to Disney for about 5 days.
Do you think we are better off going with a pacakge or booking through the travel agent? There was some deal in the paper over the weekend with something like $375 pp for 3 days in a standard disney hotel and includes tickets for each day in the parks. I think one of the catches is that you can only visit one park per day.
Any thoughts? TIA.

we booked for december for 7 nights/8 days. with park hopper tix, airfare, the room and a meal plan and a car, its about $3500. which is an incredible deal. we booked directly through disney and i think it saved us.
they tried to talk us out of the rent a car, but we will be visitng friends and needed it.

We were looking at the website last night and I think we can get a decent deal if we book during the week. We are leaning towards the Coronado - anyone stay there?

They have codes for all the discounts that are out for packages/hotel/tickets/car rental etc.
I always book myself I haven't found any travel agent that can beat the price that I am able to put together myself using the codes and booking thru disney, car companies and airlines themselves.
Also check out disboards This is a posting site for disney and you can get so much info on the parks, hotels, deals etc.

Thanks, Christine, I saw your links when I did another search on here and checked them out last night. One of the guys on disboards had incredible photos of the Coronado, and now I am even more excited to go there!

I stayed at coronado a few yrs ago and really liked it. Very pretty grounds, nice gift shop etc. Honestly, you spend so little time in the room that other than for my HM when we stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge, I would probably stay there again.

I just got back and highly rec. getting the meal plan, it was so worth it! DH and I had counter service meals left over, don't ask me how  . We had orginally booked the Grand Floridian for 7 nights, we had some problems with the hotel so we switched over to my favorite, the Polynesian. We got to see the fireworks every night from our room at both resorts. I think we paid $4600 for everything. You will have such a great time!!! I am so jealous, DH and I just got back from there Friday

You are going to have a great time!!!! The meal plan is so worth it -- even if you don't eat every meal on the plan you more then get your money's worth.

Thanks for posting this!!! We just decided to take DS to WDW for the first time and were debating if getting the meal plan was worth it or not. I am a little unsure of the counter service though as we will have DS. Did anyone do this plan with a toddler?
