I think I can honestly say that

I would take childbirth over a root canal anyday.

Add me to the list of people who are terrified of and hate going to the dentist.

I used to think I was brave when it came to this kind of stuff but I was a total chicken today. I made him stop twice to shoot me up with more novacaine.

Should I have taken something stronger than Advil for the pain after the novacaine wears off?

I think I only took Advil and was ok, if that doesn't work maybe try extra strength tylenol after the 4 hours

i have never had any problems with a root canal. maybe a little sensitivity after the novacaine wore off but no real pain. i think advil will work just fine.
