I think I have the winter blues (Seasonal Depression)
Ever since the time change- I cant seem to kick this down feeling I have. I leave work at 4:00. By the time I get home, its pitch black out- Howcan that NOT depress anyone?
That mixed with this whole feeling of everyday redundancy <---thats probably not even a real word. So sad.
This is me.
Okay, pity party over.

Girl, get the fireplace going, or some seasonal scented candles or the Christmas music! Get into the season more, don't let it drag you down.

Re: I think I have the winter blues (Seasonal Depression)
This is how I felt when the winter season started too. So I know how you feel. I hate the cold weather and feel so sluggish to go out and do things but Im trying to get over it especially since we have the holidays to look forward to. Dont worry before you know it, spring will be here

Re: I think I have the winter blues (Seasonal Depression)
I feel the exact same way. I have been down for the past few days and didn't know why. I swear it must be from it gettng dark so early and it getting cold out. I get majorly depressed in the fall- and nothing helps- I hate fires, fall colors, fall scents- it just depresses me more. What I actually do is turn on my "summer mix" CD. I always feel better when I hear songs that remind me of summer.
I also can totally relate to what you said about the whole feeling of everyday redundancy. Sometimes I get so bored of my daily routine that I just want to run away and never come back.
It's totally normal. It stinks, but it's normal. Just remember that spring will be here again eventually!

Re: I think I have the winter blues (Seasonal Depression)
I think we all go through this once in a while...or maybe once a month LOL...its normal Janie. Try to do something different to break up the pattern of the everyday monotony...go out to dinner after work or go shoppilng or even get a bottle of wine and get crocked with Ant and fall asleep at 8 pm...

Less sunlight makes me depressed, too.
