I think I just lost my mucous plug
What does that mean!? I am 38 1/2 weeks- last Dr appt on Thurs I was stretched to 2cm. Been feeling menstrual crampy on and off since them but nothing crazy. Just went to the bathroom and when i wipe - there it was. I heard this doesn't mean labor is necessarily around the corner. Any one have any experience with this?

Hard to tell..some people go into labor a few days after losing plug but some not for a few weeks..
Either way- at 38 1/2 weeks baby should be fine...

For me it was 24 hours later! Your post is giving me hope though b/c I was counting on the mucus plug to give me the heads up I need b/f going into labor  But, my OB had said that since I was already 2cm I was most likely past the mucus plug point (meaning I had already lost it and didn't notice) - but if you were 2cm and then lost it - maybe i will still get that warning!
38.5 wks is perfect - you will be fine! Make sure you are packed and ready to go! GL!

thanks ladies. I am packed and ready- I would be 100% fine if I went now :) I feel like i am having random and sporadic contractions but nothing with any consistency. we'll see how tonight goes
