I think I lost my mucus plug, help, TMI

So, just came from the bathroom and saw a white fleshy string of something in the toliet. Is this my mucus plug? I'm 36.5 weeks, is this too early? I don't think it is being I remember the video said it could be weeks before contractions start. What do you girls think?

I have a doc apt on Friday. I'm cool with waiting, just asking the expects

From what I remember hearing, while obviously a sign that you are progressing, it does not mean that labor is imminent unless coupled with contractions and/pr water breaking-- so, I think there is no need to worry!

I would maybe call your doc tomorrow just to tell them-- also, by then you can see if there is any change in the mucus/discharge-- but, I don't think you should worry about going into labor. Yet!

36.5 weeks is considered to term. You're good!

sounds like it, everyone is different, it can come out when you start to dialate but you can be dialated for weeks..me, i didnt dialate until i lost it which was a day after my due date..then, i went into labor the following night extremely late..
So, it is a sign you are progressing and hey, it might be a blessing bc maybe you will go a week early..i ended up a few days late and completely miserable...
