I think my cat knew I was sick last night

I am suffering through a nasty flu right now and had a fever in the middle of the night last night. When I woke up, one of my cats who normally sleeps on MY side of the bed, was sleeping on DH's side! He ALWAYS sleeps on my side!!

I really do think he sensed I was sick.. or thought I smelled funny. Am I crazy for thinking this?

ETA: I am still sick and noticed that whenever I sweat out a fever, my cat doesn't come near me. Otherwise, he's with me constantly. Right now he's on the total opposite side of the bed, something he NEVER does, and I have a fever. Weird............

I agree they can sense things... but I also think I may smell a little

Not at all! I think pets are very in tune with us and our bodies. They even know what's going on when we don't... My dog Leo [mini-dachshund] would not leave my side, constantly wanted to be in my lap, giving me kisses and slept in my bed [which he hadn't done in years] the night before I went into labor. And I was 3 weeks early! I think dogs and cats know it all!! Feel better!!

I love my little babies, my boy has been by my side all day! I'm feeling a little better so hopefully tonight he'll sleep on MY side!
