I think the time has come... (this is a long one)
My DD has been coming to work with me since she was 3 months old, she is almost 8 months old. I work for a small htg.& A/c company, I run the office. I have exersaucer here, swing, playpen and everything - she can sit on my desk with me too in her bumboo chair.
Here's the problem - I feel soo much guilt, she wants to play and I can when bosses aren't here, I feel guilt towards them to - they are being wonderful in letting me do this, but I feel they are watching me.
I am so nervous to start daycare, I know I will be fine after a while, but I find it hard (as manyh of you do) to pay someone to be with her - when it should be me, and where would the $750+ a month come from to pay for this? I am having a really hard time, when I really think of it I get a lot of anxiety.
Should I keep her here until I am told to look into other options or should I sign her up. I have my list of daycare questions to interview with and I have (2) near my job I will be looking into. I am just saving $750.00 a month having her with me, but I think at her age now it isn't fair to either one of us.
I can't imagine someone else feeding her in their arms and changing her diaper. I am sooo torn.
Thanks for listening.

Re: I think the time has come... (this is a long one)
I think you should start looking - it sounds like you are becoming aare of this, and the people at work may not feel comfortable telling you to put her in DC - I think they would be very impressed with you if you came to them with that decision...
I am putting my child in DC in 3 weeks - at 8 wks old. I know how you feel, but its my only option... I may pick him up sometimes from DC and bring him with me sometimes when working in the office, but I wont make a habit of it...
Good luck!
