I thought 2WW was bad.. 60 day wait is Worse

So for those of you who dont know i had a miscarriage on 1/30. Well the bleeding and cramping has finally stopped and i go on feb 11 for a sono to be sure all has passed. I have mixed emotions on trying to start again. Part of me is so eager and cant wait and part of me is so scared that it will prolly happen again. So doctor said i should wait at least 2 cycles. If you have had a miscarriage in the past how did your second pregnancy turn out. Is there a high percentage that it will happen again to me. Im not sure where i should post considering i cant TTC yet and im not PG yet.

I know what you are going through. Post here honey, alot of us have been through the same thing.. We are all here to support each other, and lend an ear, on subjects that most people won't disucss.

The 2 months will pass quickly, mine did. And yes I feel your concern about it happening again. We've had 2. But In GOD's TIme, not ours. Keep the faith, don't lose hope, and keep your eyes to the sky.

I see a very bright future for you.

Having a miscarriage has no effect on future pregnancies.

A few years ago, I got pregnant and miscarried, naturally, at about 7 and a half weeks. Two weeks later I went in for a follow-up with my ob/gyn who told me to wait 2 cycles before trying again. Little did we know that at that very moment, I was already one week pregnant again. I conceived about one week after the miscarriage, without even realizing it.

I went back in and was terrified because my doc had told me to wait 2-3 cycles. He chuckled and confessed that they only recommend it because it's an old way of thinking, and to make sure the couple is emotionally ready. But, statistically speaking, there's no evidence that getting pregnant shortly after a miscarriage will have any more or less chance of miscarrying as a result, unless, of course, you had any complications with your miscarriage.

I am evidence of that - my one week later oops conception turned into one hell of a spirited, fiery, collickly little baby about 9 months later.

Try not to worry so much. After my m/c I came to find out that many many women miscarry their first pregnancy. Some say it's becasue the body is not prepared for it and after the first one it knows what to expect. I don't know what the reason is but I did miscarry my first also and now I am over 10 weeks into my second and doing fine!

I had no idea how I would feel the second time around but amazingly I have been so optomistic, even when things got scary 2 weeks ago. Just hang in there. Spenf the next 2 months eating well, spending QT with DH and taking care of YOU. You might surprise yourself with how different you feel the second time around. I was so much like you the first time. No offense, but I was paranoid, nervous, and overly obsessed with the PG, as if I "knew" something was going to go wrong. This time, I have none of those feelings. I hope it's the same for you.

I understand how you feel, I have been through the whole miscarriage thing. It's emotional torture!

BUT Here is some positive info - 80% of women that have miscarriages go onto have perfect babies. Also, a miscarriage has no future impact on your next pregnancy. It's very common for first pregnancies to end in miscarriage.

So take your time and start TTC when you are ready. Try and stay positive. Good Luck and I wish you a happy healthy 9 months (when you get your BFP).

I totally know how you feel. I was also told that you are really fertile after a Miscarriage. I'm not too sure how true that is though.

I'm so sorry you are going through this I have never had a miscarriage, but my close friend did. The doctor told her that each miscarriage happens independently, and that other pregnancies are not considered to be "higher risk" because of past miscarriages. Also, she ended up getting pregnant the month after her miscarriage. I tend to think that she was more fertile since the hormones were already in her system.

I also recently had a miscarraige. One dr. told me to wait 2 cycles, another one told me 1 cycle. They both said if I got pregnant before that no to worry - but I understand your fear of it happening again, I am in the same boat! Good luck!

sorry your going through this, my SIL had a m/c and was also told to wait 3 months, she then got pregnant the first month following and now has 2 beautiful little boys (she had them close together)
