I want a creative way to tell the families.

I think we are going to tell at Thanksgiving, which will be 12w0d LMP. I was trying to think of creative ways to tell them, but since EVERYONE is going to be there I was not sure.

We were originally thinking of making copies of the sono, putting them into a grandma/grandpa/ great-aunt, etc frame & giving it to them after dinner, but with 35 + people at dinner that's kind of a lot.

Any other ideas?

I think this is a cute idea, and this is what we did. We went to BRU and got non-gendar specific bibs that said "I love my grandma", "I love my grandpa", etc etc. It was a big hit.

When I had my first child, I had no idea of how to tell mymom. I wanted it to be "special" but FUNNY b/c that's our relationship...a little silly and non-traditional.

So, I bought this "brag book" that was similar to one she ahd with me [beatrix potter] and wrote a note inside that said something like: Congratulations. In 9 months you are going to be filling this up! Love, XXXXXX

We are telling our family on Thanksgiving also. We will be giving the godparents "Worlds Greatest Tshirts" to let them know. I haven't worked out the kinx yet for how to tell the rest of the family. I think we will be sending the dog in with a "I'm the big sister" tshirt.

What about going around the table to ask everyone what they give thanks for...and when its your turn...give thanks to the growing baby in your tummy"

Or even printing out a copy of your sono picture and putting under each place setting. And when everyone is giving thanks tell them to pick up their plate and give thanks for one more thing.

Have DH carry the turkey into the room at dinner, with a bib tied around it...oir maybe wait til after dinner, so that everyone can eat and not be congratulating you while the food gets cold and bring a boxed dessert of either a cake with a cute saying written on top or a box of pink and blue cookies shaped like babies, or bottles.

Orrrr- you could get one of these cute tshirts and put it on right before dinner or something like that

I would totally bake a cake, or bring cupcakes. Have the cake cover on.

I revealed the news 3 seperate times:
1.) we went to my il's durning the week and picked up an ice cream cake and on it said "Congrats Baba & Dida, make room for one more" (baba and dida is grandma and grandpa in croatian).

2.) For my mom we got her a small cake and put congratulations nonna on that one.

3.) for my dad I had to wait until after he came back from vacation so I made dinner for him the day the flight landed. My mom picked him and brought him to our house. Everyone at this point knew already (including everyone in my dad's village in croatia ). Anyway, I had a toddler size shirt made up and on the front were the name would go I put Baby Selexxxx and then on the back I put the name of his company (he is self employeed) and I found a cartoon version of his logo and put that on back.
