I was seriously asked today if the events of 9/11 caused me to go into labor with Johnny (who is 1)
A lady at the gym today asked when his bday was.
I said "actually its on 9/11". Keep in mind he's turning 1.
She said "ohhhh did the events of the day cause you to go into labor?".
I was very confused and for a second had to stop and think "well maybe she means thinking about the events..".
NOPE.
She really honestly thought that me "witnessing the events in NY that day" caused me to have Johnny.
It's just funny. Come to think of it, it's prob something I'd ask someone without giving my brain a chance to register, just found it very humorous and wanted to share!!!

Sounds like she was in her own time warp.

Yeah I think we're all guilty of opening up our mouths before giving it a chance to bounce around in our head to hear how it sounds! Clearly this is a great example

WOW!!! What an idiot
In all seriousness, my brother lost a dozen friends that day and considering it was the largest terrorist attack this nation has ever seen, you would think she'd remember correctly
We all are entitled to our "senior-moments" but, I'm sorry, that just shows her stupidity. How can you really forget?
She's lucky you were not closely involved in the events of that day or I'm thinking you would not have taken it so well.

I'm not really sure she was thinking. I live in VA and when she learned that i worked in NY that day, she i guess just didn't put two and two together...talk about a super senior moment!

Ok you're not allowed senior moments in your 30s.
My grandmother rewrote history & began telling people in her nursing home that I ran from the buildings & was in labor. Um, I worked in midtown & Joseph was born 9/19. Now that she has Alzheimer's, it's not worth correcting her unless it's to remind her that it's my birthday again this week.
