I went to a company picnic for dh today
and a russian woman took my baby! seriously...I kept saying no I will take her and she said "no, no, go eat go play do what you need to do"...LOL
what I need to do is have my dd back. To make a long story short I stood over her while she stuffed food down gillys mouth and Gilly pooped beyond belief and I just couldnt get my baby back. Has this happened to anyone? Believe me I said a million times that she was fine with me and this woman just walked off with her. I was so up her a@@ while she walked away.

This hasn't happened to me, although one time I was at Corner bakery (a restaurant here like Panera) and the lady cleaning tables asked me if she could hold Lily. I was so shocked, but said "no, she'll probably freak out."
I would be very annoyed if anyone did what that woman did to you. You didn't even know her?

that is completely awkward, what was she feeding her ??
I rarely let others (never mind strangers! well she's sort of a stranger right?) feed my kids,esp when theyre under 2. Im a paranoid one for choking..
seems like you handled it nicely. youre a better person than me

That's strange.
A total stranger asked me a couple of months ago if they could hold DS while I was about to feed him.
I just said, "No".
I was a bit creeped out and moved away.

actually she didnt really give me an option. Honestly...I didnt know what to do or say. ALSO...she was a complete stranger to me. I never met her. I felt like it was an hr of walking on pins and needles! Obviously if I screamed at her I would have made dh look like a moron at his picnic. Though hes gonna get it tommorrow

That definitely would have pushed me over the edge. Some people really have a lot of nerve. I'm glad you stuck to her like glue. It's times like that when I would wish that DD had a meltdown so I could get her and calm her.
My DD would never stand for a stranger holding her....she'd go nuts. We're lucky sometimes if she lets other family members hold her!
I'm glad it's done and everything is fine. Time to start talking to Gilly about stranger danger.

Never happened to me. Maddie wouldn't even let DH or a Grandma hold her if I was in the room. Very strange.
The only time a stranger was with Maddie was the nurse when I had to go hold Joseph for an xray & couldn't bring Maddie into the room with me. She was sleeping.
Maybe she (presumptuously) assumed she worked with your DH so she knew you through association?
Regardless, you should never be put into such an awkward position.
