Re: I went to the ob/gyn

OB/Gyn's dont' know much about charting and will tell you that you conceived on CD 14 no matter what you know. I conceived on CD 22 and my original ob/gyn kept sticking with CD 14 which was wrong. They don't believe in charting, OPKs because they know nothing about them. No offense to them, but they are not trained with that. My original ob/gyn who I was going to for over 10 years was telling me it didn't matter how much water I drank and to take the OPK first thing in the morning, which is so wrong, but I can't blame him, he just doesn't know about that stuff. I think its great to chart so you know that you are indeed ovulating and when you are ovulating so you know your body is cooperating with you. As for the no natural deliver, that I'm not too sure about, but I wouldn't rule anything out just yet, some people carry high, low, with normal tailbones, so who knows. Good luck!

Re: I went to the ob/gyn

My doc told me not to chart too. It's some kind of mental block the OB GYNs have (especially MALE OBGYNs it seems).

I find the charting to be extremely helpful. If nothing else, they confirm what the OPKs and my body are telling me.

And the tailbone thing is a little weird to tell you right now, but if it is legit, at least you know ahead of time.

ignore him and do the opks. u have nothing to lose by using them. trust your instincts. if u feel he's not the right doc for u, switch. good luck!
